Kingfisher – March, 2024
Back Story:
I chose to draw this Kingfisher as I am fascinated by the species. I have never seen one in real life, but I am always hopeful I will see a Kingfisher someday. I really loved working on the feathers of this bird.
As this Kingfisher was drawn on Dura-Lar Film, it was also possible to add depth by drawing on the back of the surface, too, to brighten up some of the feathers.

Pencils: Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran D’Ache Pablos and Luminance Colour Pencils
