I chose to draw this Red Kangaroo to help me learn techniques of drawing on a different type of surface. It was also a change for my to practice some subtraction techniques.
Behind the scenes shows part of the layering process used to create drawings with coloured pencils. The paper used for this drawing is Rising Museum Board. Check out the images below to see how I worked on each section of the drawing, building up each layer by layer before moving on to the next section.
