I chose to draw this Hummingbird to refresh my techniques of drawing feathers.
Behind the scenes shows part of the layering process used to create drawings with coloured pencils. This drawing is on film as opposed to paper. Although the surface appears to be smooth it has a matt texture that can handle multiple layers and also can have detailed pencilwork added on both sides to enhance the artwork.
